We discuss federal regulation of cybersecurity for financial institutions and regulated investment advisers and funds. Most importantly we discuss incident response planning, training, incident detection, eradication and resiliency. Cybersecurity is too important a topic to not understand fully, and many directors complain they are not given enough information from their IT staffs in order to better understand if the company's cybersecurity strategy is working or not. This book does not and cannot provide all the answers. But it does focus on making sure directors understand the right questions to ask of their management and their IT staffs at their next board meeting. C-suite and Professionals need to read and understand this book - but the critical issues discussed, then need to be propagated to everyone ASAP - from medical receptionists to phone based customer service reps. Everyone in Australia where I live is a stockholder (compulsory retirement savings) so as a nation of investors - we need to be asking new questions of our boards. I think this book does for Cyber Security what Clayton Christensen did for the complex subject of innovation. Can recommend.
Paul's book is clear, concise, and easy to follow. Written for non-lawyers; the book is a great guide for in-house counsel as well, as it provides the necessary links to the varying cybersecurity statutes, regulations, and cases.
